PhD in “Pharmacology, Toxicology and Innovative Treatments”
Thesis title:
Acute actions of parkinsonizing toxin MPP+ reveal new functions for the hyperpolarization- activated current in the physiology and pathology of midbrain dopaminergic neurons
Main projects:
Study of the bio-physical alterations caused by metabolic stress in nigral dopamine neurons with in vitro electrophysiology
Optogenetic neuroglial network perturbation and gliotransmission modulation
Electrophysiology: Excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of whole-cell and extra- cellular recordings in glia, cultured neurons (dorsal root ganglia, hippocampal neurons) and brain slices (midbrain and hippocampus). Molecular and Cell Biology: Familiar with Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, PCR, primary cell cultures and calcium imaging with fluorescent indicators.
